Special Interventions

Power of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Approach

Assessments and Interventions are carefully planned by the experts in their respective fields. At Skills and Ability School, special interventions address diverse developmental, behavioral, sensory, and learning challenges, ensuring each learner receives the tailored support needed for holistic growth.

Key Programs & Therapeutic Services

  • Occupational Therapy (OT): Helps students improve fine motor skills, coordination, posture, sensory processing, and independence in everyday tasks.
  • Speech & Language Therapy: Aimed at improving articulation, receptive and expressive language, pragmatic skills, and oral-motor control.
  • Behavioral Therapy & ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis): In our school setting, behaviour therapy focuses on understanding and addressing behaviours that may interfere with learning, social interaction, or emotional well-being. Through structured applied behaviour analysis (ABA), interventions, and consistent support, behavioural therapy helps students develop coping skills, emotional regulation, and appropriate social behaviours.
  • Physiotherapy services: At our school support children with special needs by improving their mobility, posture, and physical strength, aiding overall motor development and functional independence.

Intervention Delivery Model

Each intervention is built on a thorough assessment and results in an Individualized Therapeutic Plan (ITP). Sessions may be conducted one-on-one or in small peer groups, depending on the child’s need. Therapists, educators, and parents collaborate closely to ensure integration of strategies into the child’s daily routine and learning environment.

Monitoring & Family Involvemen

Regular reviews, progress charts, and family counseling ensure that intervention goals are met, and parents remain informed, engaged, and trained to support their child beyond school hours.
